1977: Punk at the Fashion Museum

The Fashion Museum in Bath is showing an exhibition, 1977: Punk at the Fashion Museum, which focuses on the relationship between music and style.
The display includes photos of The Clash, Debbie Harry, Buzzcocks, The Rezillos, X-Ray Spex, Siouxie and the Banshees, Ian Dury, Hugh Cornwell and Elvis Costello. Taken by young photographers of the day, the images were originally printed in NME, Melody Maker and Sounds.
Although I was only nine in 1977, my sister, who's six years older than me, was into punk and new wave music at the time.
In this era of The X-Factor, the 1977 exhibition is a breath of fresh air (and has led me to spend rather too long on YouTube, taking a trip down memory lane... it's been great singing along to X-Ray Spex again!).
